By now, most of us have seen SPU students strolling around
campus, coffee in hand, but now with necks wrapped in a variety of
fashionable scarves.
The trend is said to have come from Europe, although scarves
have always been a part of any wardrobe for cold weather. Scarves
are not only fashion-forward, but they also provide a practical way
to keep warm (especially when there is snow outside in April!).
Something new we've seen this year is a bandana wrapped around
the necks of both guys and girls. Are bandanas warmer alternatives
to regular scarves, or are SPU students simply sporting a new
trend? Where do these bandanas and scarves come from?
The following SPU students will tell you why they are wearing
them, where they get them, and whether or not this trend will last
through spring as the weather heats up.
