In order to avoid the problems that kept KSPU from running the
majority of this year, the future KSPU staff will include a
technician, who will work through any problems the station might
face.
"It will definitely be up and running more smoothly next year,"
said future station manager Tyler Santoro. "We're making sure we
won't face those problems."
Santoro said they made a proposal to ASSP to include a technical
person on staff to make sure the station can run smoothly all
year.
"One of our first and foremost goals for next year is to make
sure the station is doing what it's supposed to be doing," Santoro
said.
Next year's staff will include Keri Stark, who will be in charge
of programs and business administration, Moorea Seal, who will be
in charge of promotions, and John Booker, who will be running the
technical aspects of the station.
Santoro said another goal of the station is to once again
present to the SPU campus a venue where students can come and share
their thoughts and creativity with the rest of the student
body.
"We want to broaden the spectrum as far as student involvement
and student listeners," Santoro said. The biggest challenge will be
to re-present KSPU to the SPU student body, he said.
"There will definitely be unforeseen challenges ahead of us,"
Santoro said. "But once we're over that initial hump, things will
begin to smoothen out."
