Women strive for perfect throw There are four of them. They throw rocks and footballs. They run sprints with the track team twice a week. They bike in the offseason to stay in shape. But they specialize in throwing sticks.

Rohde secures national berth Fighting a chilly breeze that could have come straight out of March, senior Karin Rohde established herself as one of the top 10 steeplechase competitors in the nation.


Academic all-stars
The Falcons are as school-savvy as they are sports-smart.

Nineteen SPU student-athletes from the track and field team alone were named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) track and field academic all-star team this year.
