Midnight Madness
On Friday, SPU students battled late into the night for the
chance to win beautifully-engraved bobblehead trophies and Chipotle
gift certificates at the fourth annual Midnight Madness
three-on-three basketball tournament, held in Royal Brougham
Pavilion.

Weather proves challenging
Two rowers from one boat came off the water bordering on
hypothermic. Another team’s boat was swamped, sinking, and had to
be rescued. Races were cut in half from the original 2,000 meters.

Larson kicks up dust in 1,500 with first-place finish
Sophomore Jane Larson celebrated an anniversary her own way.While the Mt. SAC Relays in Long Beach, Calif., held its 50th
running on Friday, the SPU sophomore held her own and came out on
top in the women’s 1,500-meter run.

Gymnastics
Gymnasts finish sixth in nation
The SPU gymnastics 2007-2008 season was a roller coaster full of
ups and downs, twists and turns. Average overall scores and
inexperienced gymnasts posed challenges for the team all season
long.
