Communication is key for a legislative body that represents the
whole. In the case of SPU, this means Associated Students of
Seattle Pacific (ASSP) should be in constant dialogue with the
student body.

Florida encourages violence
Imagine you are in line, waiting to get into a baseball game.
You become engaged in an argument with the person behind you, and
things get out of hand. He threatens your life. What do you do? Do
you run? Call for help? Or do you pull out your concealed weapon
and shoot him?

Pope straddled ideological gap
It might be seen as the end of an era, or perhaps just one part
of a new beginning. As the College of Cardinals debates papal
succession, we are left to wonder about what kind of a mark Pope
John Paul II left on the world.

Collegium was a gift
The Collegium was a gift from years of SPU students. Each year a
fee is paid to Associated Students of Seattle Pacific (ASSP) for
student programming, but the money that is not spent at the end of

The Board of Student Media Guidelines describes the purpose of
media outlets on campus as entities that will "offer views of life
within a unique academic and social community. They stand as forums
for responsible and vigorous discussion of issues within that
community."
