Nuesch-Olver gets top award
Delia Nuesch-Olver took a moment from her holistic ministries
class yesterday afternoon to say "thank you" to her students. That

Bringing back overseas experiences
When Lawrence Kent arrived in Mauritania, a country in West
Africa, for his Peace Corps assignment in 1985, he was surrounded
by people who were poor, hungry and out of food. There he lived in
a mud hut with a host family in their village, which had once been
a refugee camp.

Learning, serving through the Peace Corps
Jennifer Samnick grew up in Long Island, New York, but was
destined to wake up to the sounds of goats bleating, roosters
crowing and children playing outside of her cement hut.

Understanding, celebrating Cinco de Mayo
Tropical music resounded in Martin Square, while the smells of
carne asada and chicken sizzled off the grill and lines of students
received rice, beans, pico de gallo and traditional salsa. Balloons
and streamers decorated the square, with posters of Latino
