A senior physics major who will be graduating in the spring of 2015, Thomas Fowler sustained wounds to his neck, chin and side of upper extremities on Thursday after being hit by shotgun pellet fragments. He was released from Harborview on June 6th.
A sophomore and intended sociology major, Sarah Williams was taken to Harborview Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit and underwent a five-hour surgery for chest and abdominal wounds following Thursday’s shooting. Harborview officials said that she was moved out of ICU and upgraded to serious condition on June 8th. She was discharged from the hospital on June 13th.
A senior engineering major, Jon Meis is credited with stopping the shooter with pepper spray. He was unhurt but taken to Harborview and released soon after. He is pictured here with his fiancee, Kaylie Sparks. Meis released a statement about his role in Thursday’s shooting, which can be read in full here.
