Property damage, Oct. 3, 601 W. Emerson St.
A security officer on patrol discovered damage to the grass lawn across the street from the Office of Safety and Security. After reviewing security footage, the officer found that a large semi-truck had driven over the grass. The security officer said an attempt would be made to identify the truck.
Hit and run, Oct. 2, Hill Hall
A student reported to Safety and Security that someone had damaged a vehicle while it was parked across the street from Hill Hall. A security officer met with the student and took photos of the damage.
Trespassing, Sept. 25, First Free Methodist Church
Safety and Security received a call from First Free Methodist Church saying someone was wandering through their property. The trespasser also walked through the child care center. Security officers found the individual and called the Seattle Police Department. Police officers gathered information from the person about other potential crimes committed and then let the individual go.
Assault, Aug. 14, Commuter Lot
Safety and Security was notified of a person going through a clothing bin in an on-campus commuter lot. A security officer responded and called the Seattle Police Department. When the security officer tried to talk to the individual, the person became verbally aggressive. The individual then hit the security officer in the chest with the car door. Police officers responded, but the individual was not found.
Car prowl, Sept. 30, east of Third Avenue between Bertona and Dravus Streets
While on patrol, a security officer was contacted by a car owner who had just found the driver’s side window smashed in. The vehicle was parked off campus but near the school. The officer interviewed the student but learned that nothing was missing from the car. The officer took photos of the damage and filed a report.
Car prowl, Oct. 1, off campus
A student reported to Safety and Security that someone had broken into that person’s car at an off-campus residence.
