Pineda’s age was misstated. He is 24 years old.
When Pineda moved from Carollton, Texas to Seattle, the timeline of Pineda’s acceptance to Seattle Pacific University was misstated. Pineda was accepted to Seattle Pacific first before getting a job.
The jobs Pineda has worked at Gwinn Commons were misstated. He worked for one quarter washing dishes, one year as a general worker and three years as a manager.
The reason Pineda failed to obtain a teaching certificate was misstated. Pineda did not get his teaching credential because of an on-the-job injury that forced him to withdraw from classes.
Pineda’s job description at the Warwick Seattle Hotel was misstated. Pineda worked delivering room service to hotel guests.
Pineda’s plans for his education were misstated. Pineda is saving up to go back to school, so he can get a teaching credential.
The amount of time it took Pineda to create his first longboard skateboard was misstated. It took Pineda four tries before he created his first longboard.
A quote attributed to Pineda was misstated. “My longboards don’t give the customer instant gratification because they don’t come in a box on a shelf,” Pineda said.
Pineda’s current job role at Gwinn Commons was misstated. Pineda works as the lead cashier and greeter.
In a May 15 front page photo caption, student model and senior Kelly Apperson’s name was misspelled.
In a photo caption for the May 15 story “Spring fever means a walk in the woods,” freshman Haley Halak’s name was misspelled and her class standing misstated.
